Why are other cross-platform open source projects able to provide better
looking and more platform-fitting icons per platform? For instance, Mozilla
Firefox. For instance, compare the platform-fitting look (and color) of the
folder icons to the folder icons, LibreOffice provides. The Mozilla UX team
cares about such things *very* lovely and thoughtful. And *not* like a steam
roller à la "one fits all", one Tango Theme and take that, unchanged for any
OS/platform.

It is *possible* to care much better on OS/platform specifics while being
cross-platform. It's a matter of *will*. See Mozillas UX team, Mozillas UX
designer.
