DOC (identic) documents created with: LibreOffice 4.0.5, Word for Windows
2003and Pages 5.0.1. DOC document created with Libre shows incorrect font when
opened in Word for Mac 2011, others not.

When opening a DOC document, created in Libre/Open/Neo Office, in MS Office for
Mac 2011 version 14.3.6 and above I noticed that Word for Mac does not retain
appropriate font defined in Normal style of that document.
All the text that formatting is based on styles is shown in Times New Roman
10pt font although font of Normal style is in Libre Office originally defined
as e.g. Arial 11pt.
As I encountered this is happening with all documents that were last edited and
stored with OpenOffice/LibreOffice (any version) in .DOC format.
It also seems that documents stored in .DOCX format from Libre/Open Office does
not show such issues in Word for Mac 2011.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create ne Writer document
2. Set Default Style font and size to something different from Times New Roman
and 10pt.
3. Write some text into document based on Normal style.
4. Save document to DOC (not DOCX) format.
5. Open this DOC document in Word for Mac 2011 ver. 14.3.6 or above.

Current behavior:
All text based on styles (and not formatted directly) in document, opened in
Word for Mac, has font set to Times New Roman 10pt.

Expected behavior:
All text fonts and sizes in document, opened in Word for Mac, should be the
same as those originally set in Libre/Open office.

It look like the the described problem currently appears only in Word for Mac
2011 versions 14.3.6 and above (including most resent version).
There is no problem with presented fonts if opening such DOC document in other
word processors, including Word for Windows, Libre/Open Office, Pages, Apple
TextEdit, ...

But if equivalent DOC document is created eg. with Word for Windows or Word for
Mac, Pages, Apple TextEdit, ... then Word for Mac does not have any problems
with fonts when showing a DOC document. The same is true if document created in
Libre/Open Office is opened eg. in Word for Windows or Pages and then just
saved again to DOC format.

I assume there was some change in Word for Mac 2011 in update 14.3.6 an above
that leads to such behavior. I already reported this problem to Microsoft
Community - see post
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/mac/forum/macoffice2011-macword/word-for-mac-2011-does-not-use-appropreate-font/0268fc2a-0dba-487b-a0a8-4092a9072047?page=1&tm=1403348367042.

But I also assume that there is probably some minor inconsistency when saving
to DOC format in Libre/Open Office as mentioned problem appears only and only
if DOC document is saved with Libre/Open Office!
Operating System: Mac OS X
Version: 4.3.0.1 rc
