Priority: medium
Bug ID: 80485
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: FORMATTING: EDITING: Copy - "Paste special.." function
is missing 3 options/ features
Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 4.2.5.2 release
Component: Writer
Product: LibreOffice
Problem description: Feature Request: I select a text with an image¹ and i want
to paste it to a blank new document with unformatted text and image. But only
text is shown not image.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Copy html slide no 1:
http://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-living/adult-health/multimedia/back-pain/sls-20076265?s=1
2. "Edit" > "Paste special.."
Current behavior: There is only three options and non of them gives the
unformatted text with the image.
Expected behavior: There should be an "unformatted text with image" option
available to users.
This current behaviour can steal lots of time when preparing a document to
print from 15-30 html slides (web pages). Especially when copy-pasting each
image file seperately, image always pasted with the formatting "[Wrap] >
[optimal page wrap]"; while "No wrap" would be much useful as default setting.
Also it would be very useful to add "[Paste special..] > [unformatted text with
image]; [unformatted text]; [HTML format]; [HTML format without comments]"
options to right click context menu under the "Paste" option.
I hope these will became available in next version. Take care..
P.S: My english knowledge is unused for a long time. If you don't understand i
will try to make it more understandable with smaller sentences.
Operating System: Windows XP
Version: 4.2.5.2 release
