Freedesktop for some reason remembered the original chance I made and every time I added a comment it saved the same changes. I had to log out and back in to clear that for some odd reason. In any case, I haven't tried in Safe mode as I am unable to restart my machine for business reasons at the moment. I won't get a chance to do that for a few days. I will update once I get a chance. That said, if anyone else who is experiencing this same problem can assist the developers with data then please do so.
