          Priority: medium
            Bug ID: 80711
          Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: Other: Link external named area with computed content,
including link to external named areas
          Severity: normal
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Linux (All)
          Reporter: [email protected]
          Hardware: Other
        Whiteboard: BSA
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
           Version: 4.2.5.2 release
         Component: Spreadsheet
           Product: LibreOffice

Problem description:
I'm using CALC to create quick quotes. So I have one sheet "Products" linked
(in the collumn "Price") to an external sheet "actual price list" (comming from
my supplier once a year), so I can update the sheet "Products" once a year and
then use it without updates for a while.

A third sheet "Quotes" refers only to "Products" for an easy and quick use
abroad.
No way the make this configuration working...

Steps to reproduce (first procedure):
1. In "Products", creation of a tab "quote" with all the relevant informations
and automation, including reference to the named area from the tab containing
the technical details and prices.
2. All works fine.
3. Copy the created tab "quote' to a new file "Quotes" so I can create a tab
per quote, without having a heavy file ("Produts" contains about 7000
references).

Steps to reproduce (second procedure):
1. From the sheet "Quotes", remove the link to the external data in file
"Products".
2. Save "Quotes", close that file, and reopen it. (this step has no influence
on the result)
3. Insert a link to external data (via menue), including selection of the
necessary named areas

Current behavior: Err:511 or unable to edit formulas because of unknown
references.
Expected behavior: getting the figures out of "Products" according last update
of price list.

Collateral observations: I don't remember exactly, but the named areas aren't
taken over by the same manner: some times they are mentioned by returning to
menu Edition/Links/Modify, some times they don't show up...

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

If required I can send you the files, but I don't want to publis them bellow.

Regards
Operating System: Debian
Version: 4.2.5.2 release
