Bug #: 46177
Summary: EDITING: Incorrect Behaviour of Direct Cursor in
Right-Aligned Paragraphs
Classification: Unclassified
Product: LibreOffice
Version: LibO 3.5.0 Release
Platform: Other
OS/Version: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Status Whiteboard: BSA
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
Problem description:
[1] Open new text document.
[2] Enable Direct Cursor with option “Tabs”: Tools > Options... > LibreOffice
Writer > Formatting Aids > Direct cursor. Then “OK”
[3] Display Nonprinting Characters in order to observe the result.
[4] Choose “Align right”. → [5a] or [5b]
[5a] Click into the first third of the first line. Only a few tabs beginning in
the third third to the end of the line are inserted.
[5b] Click into the third third of the first line. A lot of tabs beginning in
the first third to the end of the line are inserted.
Expected behaviour:
Change of alignment to left-aligned and insert of tabs from the left page
margin if you click with the Direct Cursor into an empty and right aligned
paragraph.
With Direct Cursor option “Tabs and spaces” the behaviour is equal and hence
also not correct.
Bug already exists in Ver. 3.4.x.
