Priority: medium
Bug ID: 80925
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: Other: Some images do not print.
Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA PossibleRegression
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 4.3.0.2 rc
Component: Libreoffice
Product: LibreOffice
Problem description:
Windows XP Pro SP3, LibreOffice 4.3.0.2
I noticed large images do not print with LO 4.3.0.2 under Windows XP Pro SP3.
They display correctly on screen, but when I try to print the document (in this
case LibreOffice Math Guide) it takes a long time (about five minutes) to start
printing and when printing starts large images do not show. Instead, in this
case, the text underneath the image is printed.
I tried with an HP Photosmart 7510 and with PDF Creator 1.7.1. Directly
exporting to PDF with built-in LibreOffice feature works fine.
I tried the following workaround: Tools > Options > Print > Reduce print data
and then checked “Reduce bitmaps” and chose 96 dpi. In this case after the
initial printing delay I got a printed image whish instead of expected one was
a sheet printed with huge coloured squares.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open attached document (LibreOffice 4.0 Math Guide)
2. Print it
3. If cover image does not print try the workaround listed above
Current behavior: Listed above
Expected behavior: With the workaround listed above I expected to get a
readable cover image.
Operating System: Windows XP
Version: 4.3.0.2 rc
Last worked in: 4.2.5.2 release
