Priority: medium
Bug ID: 80931
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: VIEWING: Size of caption depending on amount of
description text & above/below object
Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 4.3.0.2 rc
Component: Writer
Product: LibreOffice
Created attachment 102288

three demonstrations
Problem description:
the size of the caption is different in at least 3 ways.
if the object is small enough and/or the description is long enough and you
select above as location of the desc. the object is below the border of the
caption.
if there's just some text a part of the object is within the borders (when
selecting above)
if below is selected, there is some (unnecessary?) whitespace above the object,
but the whole object is within the caption.
Steps to reproduce:
1. create object
2. create caption
3. select above as location for description
Expected behavior:
consistent enclosure.
Guessed problem:
it seems like the height of the caption isn't recalculated / extended when text
joins the object within the captions borders, when "above" is selected.
