After saving and closing, when re-opened the 'standard' defaults exist and must be changed yet again to what the user wants. A truly useful enhancement would be to make the changes permanent for that user as suggested by the OP (Klaus). I always use Text, Numbers, Date & Time and Formulas, I don't actually use anything else, especially Formats. When I right click Paste Special I'd still like to see the options just in case I do want to use an extra option but I don't like having to 1) click on the Paste all to disable it and then 2) click on 'Numbers' because the default is OFF (how weird is that? the default should be ON) and then 3) deselect 'Formats' (because including Formats screws up Conditional Formatting big time. This is a bit like the default options for 'Paste Only' which does not include a 'Date/Time' option. In Paste Special 'Numbers' is missing a tick and in Paste Only, 'Date/Time' doesn't even exist so Paste Special has to be used.
