Priority: medium
Bug ID: 81514
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: Allow export individual chart data into a different
file (TXT, CVS, ODS, etc)
Severity: enhancement
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: unspecified
Component: Chart
Product: LibreOffice
Now a days, when there is a Chart object inserted (or copied&pasted) into any
"ODX" file, it stores data tables which are visible through double click on
chart and then select "View chart data" from the context menu.
In some cases, it could be useful to being able to reuse this data if one
doesn't have the original source of the file, for any reason.
However, this data is presented in a table which is not possible to copy&paste
it entirely into, for example, an ODS file (or even a text file). One has to
copy every point individually, which could be easy for rather small amounts of
data for really cumbersome in other cases.
It could be pretty useful if it were possible to directly export the data table
from an individual Chart into another file, such as TXT or CSV. It could be
more awsome it were possible to export that data into an ODS file *with* the
same chart inside.
Bug 38212 describes something similar: it is not possible to copy a cell range
from Calc into a Chart data table. If bug 38212 is finally solved, maybe this
one could be marked as solved since since it could be possible to copy data
from Chart into Calc. However, I think it would be easier to implement a TXT
export.
