Bug #: 46369
Summary: FILESAVE: Document saved twice when using WebDAV
filesystem
Classification: Unclassified
Product: LibreOffice
Version: LibO 3.5.0 Release
Platform: Other
OS/Version: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Status Whiteboard: BSA
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
Problem description:
When saving on a WebDAV filesystem, document is saved TWICE, i.e. two
LOCK/PUT/UNLOCK cycles are executed for the actual document. (in addition to
associated operations on the lock file) This is webdav specific, the same does
not happen on filesystems where LibreOffice isn't aware of the WebDAV
functionality.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open file
2. Save file on a WebDAV filesystem on Windows 7 or XP or OSX
Current behavior:
Two LOCK/PUT/UNLOCK cycles are executed.
Expected behavior:
Only expecting one cycle.
If you use the same underlying WebDAV server, but instead of using the Windows
OS WebDAV client, use the commercial produce "webdrive", it operates perfectly.
WebDrive hides the identity of the drive from Libre, hence it looks like it has
to be Libre's treatment of WebDAV.
Platform (if different from the browser):
Problem exists on XP, Win7 and OSX/Lion.
Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/535.11 (KHTML, like Gecko)
Chrome/17.0.963.56 Safari/535.11
