Bug ID: 81870
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: FORMATTING: Rotated text in a freeform goes back to
horizontal
Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 4.2.4.2 release
Component: Writer
Product: LibreOffice

A capture of the rotated text before I close the file and a capture of the
freeform when I open it right away.
Problem description: When I create a freeform object with text inside, and then
rotate the form, it displays correctly. But when I close the file and open it
right away, the form is still rotated but the text is horizontal.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a freeform, whatever the form, just close it.
2. Double-click on it and type text in it (do not use the "text" tool)
3. Use right-click -> Position and Size -> "Rotation" tab -> Enter a value
different from 0.
4. Now close the file.
5. Open the file you just closed : the form is rotated as before, but text is
horizontal.
Current behavior:
Text goes back to a "0°" Rotation whereas the form keeps the given rotation
angle (but it seems to disappear from its properties in the rotation tab)
Expected behavior:
The freeform should keep its rotation properties, applying it to the text
inside it.
Operating System: Ubuntu
Version: 4.2.4.2 release
