--- Comment #2 from Roman <[email protected]> 2012-02-21 23:25:04 PST --- yes, there is but it is not the solution because if you choose to create "New text document OpenDocument" from Create menu on Desktop, you get .odt or .ods file that needs to be resaved as .doc or .xls manually. And that's rather a big problem for office stuff that forget that often. So, something like "New document .doc" will be a solution.
