Test System: Kubuntu 14.04 (KDE 4.13.2) LibreOffice 4.2.4.2 On my system, the christmas.odt file opens fine and using the Tools -> Spelling and Grammar option gives me the expected dialog and suggestions to correct words (mostly names, I think). That suggests a couple of possibilities: - This file needs to be tested on another Windows machine. I'll CC another QA person. - Your installation of either the dictionary or of LibreOffice is corrupted, somehow. Can you try uninstalling, restarting and reinstalling to see if that helps?
