          Priority: medium
            Bug ID: 82299
          Assignee: [email protected]
           Summary: PDF: PDF editor
          Severity: normal
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: All
          Reporter: [email protected]
          Hardware: Other
        Whiteboard: BSA
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
           Version: 4.3.0.4 release
         Component: Drawing
           Product: LibreOffice

I was looking for a PDF editor for linux for several hours, when I stumbled
upon this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_a8B0JVZJk showing that
LibreOffice Draw is in fact also a PDF editor.

While searching for a PDF editor, never did I find anywhere that PDF editing is
possible with Draw. Thus my first request is to make this fact publically
available. People should learn about this feature, and should know that most
linux distributions come with a preinstalled PDF editor. Once this becomes a
more commonly known fact, question forums will also start sharing this
information. I visited at least a few dozen forums where people were looking
for PDF editors, and most of those forums were unsolved. Virtually nobody is
aware that Draw has PDF editing capabilities. You should perhaps even change
the name of the program to something like Draw&PDF.

My second request is for the development team to focus on improving the PDF
editing capabilities of Draw. Currently, some PDF documents don't display
properly with Draw. The formatting is messed up. Nevertheless, they can still
be edited. If only all common PDF documents would open with the correct
formatting in Draw, then the program could easily be advertised as a great PDF
editor.
