             Bug #: 46585
Summary: LibreOffice hangs on hover over special field
                    (citation)
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: LibO 3.5.0 Release
          Platform: x86-64 (AMD64)
        OS/Version: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: blocker
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [email protected]

My document contains special fields created by the citation manager mendeley.
When I hover of single citations (e. g. [1]), it shows the source of the field.
If I hover over multiple citations (e. g. [10-12]) Libreoffice freezes:

The program 'soffice' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)'.
  (Details: serial 34833 error_code 11 request_code 53 minor_code 0)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

This happens after an update to

LibreOffice 3.5.0
Build-ID: 350m1(Build:13)

Under LibreOffice 3.4.1 there was a similar error:

X-Error: BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)
    Major opcode: 53 (X_CreatePixmap)
    Resource ID: 0x9002cc2
    Serial No: 125034 (125034)
These errors are reported asynchronously,
set environment variable SAL_SYNCHRONIZE to 1 to help debugging

I suppose this has something to do with the pop-up menu.
