          Priority: medium
            Bug ID: 82849
          Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: UI: Japanese text not rendered in part of "Asian
Phonetic Guide" dialog in 4.4 master on Linux
          Severity: normal
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Linux (All)
          Reporter: [email protected]
          Hardware: Other
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
           Version: 4.4.0.0.alpha0+ Master
         Component: Writer
           Product: LibreOffice

Spotted on Linux while investigating other bugs; specifically, on Ubuntu 14.04
with the following build from master:

http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/Linux-rpm_deb-x86_64@46-TDF/2014-08-18_05.51.03/master~2014-08-18_05.51.03_LibreOfficeDev_4.4.0.0.alpha0_Linux_x86-64_deb.tar.gz

See the attached screenshots and document. Under LO 4.2.4.2, Japanese text is
correctly shown in the "Base text" and "Ruby text" input fields of the "Asian
Phonetic Guide" dialog, while under master only "missing character" boxes are
shown.

Japanese text is correctly shown in the bottom half of the dialog and in the
main document, so it's not a matter of missing fonts.

Note when reproducing: To see the "Asian Phonetic Guide" dialog as shown in the
screenshots, select some Japanese text in the provided test document, and open
"Format - Asian phonetic guide...". However, this may only be shown if the
global setting

"Default Languages for Documents - Asian" is ticked within

"Options - Language Settings - Languages"
