Summary: Writer will not save text docs as .odt files even
though that is the chosen format. Files do not retain
the .odt and so they do not show up as .odt files. I
can retrieve them with the graphic. But neither
explorer or LO show them as ODT.

Writer will not save text docs as .odt files even though that is the chosen
format. Files do not retain the .odt and so they do not show up as .odt files.
Fortunately, I can retrieve the documents the great new graphics. But neither
explorer nor LibreOffice show them as ODT docs. Prior to version 4.3.0.4 this
was not happening.
