DickStomp <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hardware|Other |All OS|Windows (All) |Linux (All) Version|4.0.4.2 release |3.6.0.4 release --- Comment #10 from DickStomp <[email protected]> --- Allready for six years I'm trying a good working application under MS-Access and Windows-XP to convert to an acceptable application using (now) Ubuntu 12.4 LTS and, earlier OpenOffice, now LibreOffice v3. I reached the point "impossible". Why? The source is a download CSV from my bank. The result must be a summing up per CostAccount. Problem: the CostAccount is depending 1) CreditAccount or 2) a text in Description or 3) a CostAccount given by me in a record. There are two tables 1) CreditAccount > CostAccount 2) Text > CostAccount With MS-Acces it is easy because: 1) The CSV of the bank can be connected to MS-Access as a table 2) MS-Access delivers TableModify and TableCreate 3) DIRTY: the extended report features! Now I wrote a system in Basic256 under Ubuntu 12. In five days it works and delivers near what I want! But dirty! I have to copy the CSV of the bank after a lot of preprocessing into a Table in Base. And the result is poorly readable without sums per CostAccount... Thank heavens that I have four PC's running in DualBoot using Ubuntu12 & WinXP... Question: Is everybody around me happy with LO-Base as replacement for MS-Access? Please comment! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
