Robinson Tryon (qubit) <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEW CC| |[email protected] Ever confirmed|0 |1 --- Comment #1 from Robinson Tryon (qubit) <[email protected]> --- CONFIRMED on LO 4.3.2.2 + Ubuntu 14.04 (In reply to comment #0) > The Calc/Spreadsheet application doesn't properly recognize '|' characters > in an URL. > > Example URL to paste into a spreadsheet: > http://example.org/foo/bar/init.aspx?a=1|abc|123|... > Pasting-in the given URL seems fine, but it remains as plain text, even if I enter a hard return or hit the spacebar or tab key. Compare that with the text of a URL such as http://www.libreoffice.org/, which will be automatically turned into a hyperlink when I arrow-out of the cell, or hit the spacebar, or enter key, or etc.. > In this example, the URL will only be highlighted from http up to the a=1 > part. I didn't see any portion of the URL being highlighted. The entire string appeared to be plain text throughout. > Sorry but I don't have time to test if the same bug appears in other > LibreOffice applications. Yep -- basically the same behavior exists in Writer. That being said, I can't think of the last time I used a URL with a pipe (|) character in it. If it is valid encoding for a URL, perhaps we can expand the filter that identifies and converts url texts to hyperlinks.
