So for that case, use ESC. The feature is added since people know and appreciate it from Excel. Where would you expect that warning? It's difficult to make it not disturbing, maybe confusing. And in the end Ctrl+Z is your friend too. Sorry, I'm not convinced. It's easy enough to mark this new and enhancement, but looks as making wrong expectations, IMO.
