Unfortunately i'm unable to reproduce it in 4.1.6 or 4.3.2. Please try one of the more recent version of libreoffice and if this still happens, please let me know. Ideally, if you can said in a video capture of this happening, that would be helpful. As you are a frequent file saver (i am as well), you can set libreoffice to automatically save after a certain amount of minutes ( Tools > Options > Load/Save > General > Save autorecovery information every X minutes ).
