--- Comment #2 from Idwal <[email protected]> 2012-02-29 13:35:17 PST --- I do have IBMs Lotus Symphony installed. This is because I have a number of documents from when I used Lotus Smartsuite. OpenOffice did not support the format used by Smartsuite so it was a necessary installation. I appreciate that LibreOffice does provide support, but since there seemed no reason why both suites could not co-exist I had no reason to uninstall Symphony. Certainly Symphony has been on the system since before I switched to LibreOffice and I have had no problems previously. I had considered the possibility that Symphony might have been interfering with the installation of OpenOffice and had tried exiting the program at the taskbar icon, but this had made no difference. When I followed your advise and checked with Process Explorer for soffice.bin it was still running after having exited Symphony (as above). When I ran the LibreOffice installer it errored as earlier. I then killed the process, but found that when I clicked OK in the error window the install terminated and I had to re-initialise the install. This time it did, however, proceed without error and successfully completed the install of V 3.5.0. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list [email protected] http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
