Maybe, a Linux only issue? Steps Done: 1. Open WRITER 2. Go to TABLE -> INSERT -> INSERT -> OK button 3. Right mouse click within any cell and go to TABLE 4. Go to the tab BORDERS and set Spacing to Contents to 0.01 cm 5. Apply borders (I tested it with and without this step) and press the OK button 6.
