--- Comment #3 from V Stuart Foote <[email protected]> --- Created attachment 109428 --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=109428&action=edit Location of the checksum Info on download page @Daniel, There are any number of utilities for calculating the HASH value for a file. I prefer http://www.febooti.com/products/filetweak/members/hash-and-crc/ for its simplicity and integration with Windows shell. The practice is to find a trusted HASH value for the file being downloaded--LibreOffice project calculates those and posts them to the MirrorBrain hosting service. Then links that information on the download pages. Pick a HASH, MD5 or SHA256, are fine to use--you're just doing a quick check that the download was complete. Then calculate a HASH value for the downloaded file--compare its value against what is posted for it. If they match, you have a complete download. If the do not match, verify that you are comparing the right HASH value and files. If so, download was corrupt and needs to be done again.
