I'm not 100% sure because I can't reproduce this problem on master or on 4.3.4 branch, but can with 4.2.6. So as caolan said potentially it is already fixed by his follow up patches. This patch I pushed is a general solution for all problems caused by that odt imported images are handled on a different way (as directly inserted ones for example). A similar problem what I found is that sometimes the thumbnail in the exported odt shows read error at the place of the images, but after opening the file it , images are there.
