Andras Timar <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Severity|critical |normal CC| |[email protected] Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED Resolution| |WORKSFORME --- Comment #3 from Andras Timar <[email protected]> 2012-03-05 04:44:21 PST --- Original msi file is not required for the uninstall process. A special msi file is created for that purpose in c:\WINDOWS\Installer\ directory. You need the original msi file only when you want to repair or modify installation. That said, there is no need to "develop a separate installer for the UNINSTALL (like M$ does)" - it just works as designed. It looks like something bad happened to your Windows, and it is not in a clean state. Unless someone else confirms this bug, or you can provide us with a step-by-step reproduction, this bug will be closed. --- Comment #4 from Andras Timar <[email protected]> 2012-03-05 05:04:38 PST --- Original msi file is not required for the uninstall process.
