Bug ID: 86674
Summary: writer returns lots of state_invalid messages on it's
paragraphs, causing orca not to be able to read the
contents after a page down and back up
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 4.3.4.1 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]

accessible listener which reports only object:state changed invalid messages,
causing orca to not read paragraphs. This has been fixed temporarily in orca,
but it's a hack and needs fixing in LO prope
steps to reproduce: 1. Open a large, preferably multi page libreoffice writer
document, although it doesn't have to be open document format. 2. Press page
down a couple of times. 3. Then press page up. Expected results: orca should go
back to the previous page and read the contents. Actual results: orca is silent
because of an object_state_changed invalid message, which causes orca not to be
able to read the contents until LO is restarted. Joanie from the orca list has
created an attached accessible listener. To use, simply open a terminal and run
python3 invalid.py, before testing for this bug. I'll attach it below
