TESTING with LO 4.4.0.1 + Ubuntu 14.04
Saving empty ODS: 2 sec

Opening that ODS: < 1 sec
(I closed and reopened LibreOffice, too)

Tools like Call-/Cachegrind can be helpful here

Of course, we have to reproduce the bug before we can run such tools ourselves.
What happens when you test TDF-provided builds? Do you see the same behavior as
with Debian-provided builds?
