--- Comment #7 from Jay Philips <[email protected]> --- Yep the main problem is that most users have images associated with a default viewer and not editor, so we have to help them out and have LO point to suitable editors. Most users dont want images associated with an editor, as they just want to preview the image. Imagine having to open GIMP or Photoshop every time you tried opening a JPG. That would drive me crazy, primarily because GIMP takes 10 seconds to load. :D I believe it should be simplest to get working on Linux as everything is dumped in /usr/bin/. With Windows we could test the default install location of the applications, but some users change that path, so it would be more suitable to check the registry (e.g. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Applications\Photoshop.exe\shell\open\command\, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\paint.net [TAREGETDIR]). I have no clues about OSX. :D -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
