            Bug ID: 87810
Summary: In Calc, Opening a .tsv file brings up Writer and
opens it as a text file
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 3.5.7.2 release
          Hardware: x86 (IA32)
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Libreoffice
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

LibreOffice 3.5.7.2
Build ID: 350m1(Build:2)

A spreadsheet .tsv file, if opened in Calc via File -> Open... doesn't come up
as a spreadsheet (asking me if I want to use Tab as a field separator.)

Instead it starts Writer and I see it as a text file.

However, if I open it via opening the Home Folder (getting icons for
subdirectories and files) and then clicking on the icon for the .tsv file, it
will open as a spreadsheet.

Or I can change the file name from .tsv to .csv - and then Calc will open it
(asking me if I want to use Tab as a field separator.)

This creates extra work to open a .tsv file.
