Bug ID: 89157
Summary: Cursor position is not saved in documents created with
version 4.3 and newer
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 4.3.0.0.alpha0+ Master
Hardware: Other
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]

Writer document which should open on page 7 if cursor position works
Writer .ODT documents created with version 4.3 or 4.4 do not store (or do not
store properly) the last edited position.
When opening a file created with any version before 4.3 the author could resume
work from last position (or nearby, as explained in Bug #51217).
With a file created with Writer 4.3 or newer version, opening the file will
always show cursor at the first character.
The attached example should open in page 7 after the sentence "Add some text
here!" if the User name is set to First Last but instead it opens on the
firstpage.
For an example of a file created in a previous version where cursor position
does work, see Bug #51217
