--- Comment #12 from SRS <[email protected]> 2012-03-21 13:10:42 UTC --- I can make this happen with a one-character file. The character is an upside-down delta from the "symbols" font. It is called a "del" by mathematicians. I do something funky to it: I highlight the character and convert it to Times New Roman. The del remains there (even though there is no such special character listed in Times New Roman), but I can type after it without my font becoming "symbols".
