--- Comment #2 from Chris King <[email protected]> --- The cause of this "bug" is that textboxes in PowerPoint have a "Wrap text" option, which doesn't seem to be the case in Impress. In PowerPoint in an empty textbox the text "Click to add text" is so long that it extends past the boundaries of the textbox in some cases. In those cases, the "Wrap text" option is not selected. (This seems to be a useful setting for textboxes that are narrow and near the bottom of a slide.) In other textboxes on PowerPoint slides, the "Wrap text" option is selected, so when such textboxes are made narrow, the "Click to add text" text wraps in a way similar to what is observed in Impress. A solution to this would be to make a "Wrap text" option available for textboxes. Currently, if you right-click in a textbox and select the "Text..." option, the "Word warp text in shapes" option is grayed out, since a textbox isn't considered a shape. To be completely compatible with PowerPoint, this option would probably have to be available for textboxes, too. I don't see a disadvantage to doing that. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
