It gets focus, but does not prevent typing. You can dock/undock the toolbar by ctrl-left mouse clicking its background or title bar (sometimes you have to click a few times to hit the right spot, especially when it is docked). Please try with LibO 4.4.1. If the problem went away, close as RESOLVED WORKSFORME.
