            Bug ID: 89976
           Summary: FEATURE REQUEIST:Add PHONETIC function
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 4.4.0.3 release
          Hardware: Other
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Calc
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Is there any possibility to add PHONETIC function to extract the phonetic
(furigana) characters from a text string. I think many Japanese users want this
function.

ex.
If cells A1 contains "東京" the following are true:
 =PHONETIC(A1) equals "トウキョウ"

Also, if you import Excel book which uses PHONETIC function, #NAME? error
occurs because Calc doesn't have one.

Best regards.
