Bug ID: 90007
Summary: associate a custom spell-check dictionary with some
documents and not other docs
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 4.2.8.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Some documents require specialized vocabularies that require custom
dictionaries. We should be able to link a custom dictionary to some documents
and not other docs. This could be done by hiding a string in the beginning of a
native-format doc that identifies each custom dictionary that LibreOffice will
try to open when it opens the doc (if it fails to open it, such as because it
is absent or renamed, it should say so when opening the doc). If multiple docs
are open, the custom dictionary should be applicable only to those docs using
it, so that switching to another doc should not bypass this limitation.
I'm told this version of LibreOffice is at the end of its life (EOL) but I've
since gotten an automatic update to it with Fedora 20 Linux. However, if a
newer version of LibreOfice has this, that's good enough. I don't want to
parallel-install it if Fedora is not sending it.
I've guessed my hardware.
