The test account I created does not show this problem. So it seems that something I've added to my normal account is causing this. I see now a secondary odd behavior: every time I open LO and create a new document, Safari immediately begins to download the LO installer. Just started happening yesterday. So I obviously have some investigating to do. Up until this weekend LO was acting normally. I don't recall installing or changing anything at that time, but perhaps I'm just not remembering.
