It is made worse as the default size opens at Letter/A4 size. Practical truth is that most illustrations/graphics being prepared in Draw would benefit from a smaller default page/graphic size--either square as an Icon, or in Landscape mode. Proportioned to better place onto a document page as an OLE. Likewise for a illustration/graphic being prepared to place into an Impress presentation--Landscape graphics are more often needed than Portrait. Providing a cleaner UI (Sidebar content panel, and maybe tweak the context menu) to resize and orient the page/graphic size will help with that. Defaulting to Landscape would provide better UX by requiring less fuss at the start of the drawing session. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
