I try to help with more details: Steps to reproduce ================== 1. Enter a few letters (a few letters) in a cell 2. Edit this cell and select only a part of the text (example: one character) 3. Change the font (choose something really different, example: Symbol) and confirm that only the selected text is changed (good formatting). 4. Leave the edit mode (press enter or click anywhere else) and see that all the text has the new font (bad formatting). Workarounds =========== Option 1: Now edit again the same cell (double-click) but don't change anything. Now the formatting is ok and is preserved when you leave the edit mode!
