Let me add some small ideas to it: 1. Usually users want to quick scroll to some of previous slide. Effects in this situation will only slow down this search. 2. Many effects is symmetric, so impossible understand direction. 3. Combinations of effect may be so complex that impossible something understand at all (for example if presentation used as QUIZ) 4. in animation may used sound, animated GIF, video. What with them?
