            Bug ID: 90445
Summary: EDITING: attempting to sort spreadsheet causes
                    libreoffice application to lock up
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 4.2.8.2 release
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: major
          Priority: medium
         Component: Calc

file on which sort could not be performed

Running LO 4.2.8.2 build 4.2.8.2-6.fc20 on a linux fedora 20 system: I accept
a set of system updates on 4/2/15 that included LO update of some sort.
Following that, I attempt to sort an existing .xls doc. LO locks up - accepts
no keyboard or mouse inputs - has to be killed from a commandline window. ALL
LO windows are affected when this has happened - none will take input. I tried
the same sort on an ods file and the behavior is the same. I 1.edit->select
all, 2. data->sort, 3. pick the column from the dialog, and I see a
left-to-right progress indicator sweep. The sheet display window does not
change to reflect the new sort order and it is now unresponsive.

I attach the file in question in the xls format. I converted this to ods and
had the same sort problem as said above.
