Reproducible with LO 4.4.1.2, Win 8.1. If you select FORMAT -> AUTOCORRECT -> APPLY the font is automatically changed to the Text Body specs (go to the Sidebar -> STYLES AND FORMATTING -> PARAGRAPH STYLES -> Text Body). I agree there should be an option that the font is not changed, but I could not find it.
