I could reproduce this as an issue, at least the LibreOffice part (I don't have Word installed), however it also occurred in WordPad, which suggests that it has to do something with Windows font handling, rather than LO. I noticed I had Arial Black Italic font installed in Control Panel/Fonts, not only Arial Black.
