Sheet exhibiting the behaviour

The attached sheet, a reduced version of a much larger sheet exhibits a strange
problem. Open it, and try to enter a formula in any unused cell, say A16.

So click on A16, and enter =A1+ and then click on B1. This will enter the
expected formula, "=A1+B1".

Now try it again, and start with A17:

So click on A17, and enter =A1+ and then click on A18. And there you've got it,
A18 (and for that matter B18) are no longer selectable with the mouse...
