Well, this is one of the most confusing subjects for LibreOffice QA. Actually LibreOffice can be compiled with different libs to support SMB, see Bug 49776 comment 6. So we must first make sure that both builds are from the same type, otherwise it's like comparing apples and oranges. The builds of Linux-rpm_deb-x86_64@46-TDF are using the legacy GNOME-VFS2 stack, which requires the presence of Gnome-VFS2 + ORBit2 libs on your system. So make sure to have those. On the other side, the 4.3.3 build that do work for you, I guess it's from the distro repositories, right? In that case most likely it's using the modern GIO stack instead, and that's the reason you're getting different results with it. So to summarize, we must clarify: 1) Do you have Gnome-VFS2 and ORBit2 libs on your system? 2) What's the source of the working 4.3.3 build?
