Bug ID: 90941
Summary: Calc - "Conversion from text to numbers: Treat text as
zeroes" does not work with matrices
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 4.3.7.1 rc
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Calc

Demo sheet showing simple SUM() calculations (which work with string cells) and
matrices (which don't work with strings in the cells)
Since 4.3.7 calc offers to select how text values are treated when formulas
expect numeric values (Tools → Options → LibreOffice Calc → Formula → Detailed
calculation settings → Custom → "Conversion from text to numbers").
The option "Treat text as zeroes" does not work when text cells are found
inside matrix calculations (entered by Shift+Ctrl+Enter, displayed as {=...}):
Within matrices, non empty text values still lead to #VALUE! errors (data type
mismatch). See the attached demo sheet (produced with calc 4.3.7.2).
Especially, old sheets will not work any more if they relied on this (old
behaviour was to treat arbitrary text values as zeroes).
