Bug ID: 90942
Summary: Editing: Cut and paste of bullets and numbering to
the end of a paragraph causes last line to lose
formatting
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 4.4.2.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
1. New Text Document.
2. Type “This is a test:” and Enter.
3. Type “test1”, Enter, “test2”, Enter, “test3”, and Enter.
4. Type “end of test.” and Enter.
5. Select “test1”, “test2”, and “test3”.
6. Numbering on from toolbar.
7. Place cursor after “test3” and select everything up to the end of the first
line.
8. Ctrl + x (cut).
9. Ctrl + v (paste).
Result:
The numbering for “test3” has disappeared.
Expected Result:
Numbering is preserved.
10. Undo the cut and paste.
11. Place cursor at the beginning of line 4 and select everything up to the end
of the first line.
12. Ctrl + x (cut).
13. Ctrl + v (paste).
Result:
Numbering is preserved.
14. Undo the cut and paste.
15. Select the three lines of the numbered list.
16. Ctrl + x (cut).
17. Place cursor at the end of the first line and Ctrl + v (paste).
Result:
The first line takes on the formatting of the destination paragraph. The last
line “test3” loses its formatting and an empty numbered paragraph has been
inserted. I think this can be explained by the fact that after the cut there
is an empty numbered paragraph. On pasting, this is moved down and renumbered.
If you select just the numbered list and cut and paste it to the end of a
different paragraph then the first line takes on the formatting of the
destination paragraph and the last line loses its formatting, but no empty
numbered paragraph is present as explained above.
