All these points depend on somehow each other. I guess it would be best if some core LibreOffice developers first decide what they actually want... i.e. a main question is, whether one invocation should allow multiple conversions to take place "at once". In principle I'd say that this would only be useful if it was then *much* faster then when invoking the program sequentially.
