            Bug ID: 91031
Summary: Writer: spellcheck to include brackets
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 4.2.8.2 release
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

In scholarly, legal, and college student writing, a word may be partly wrapped
in brackets without spaces, usually because it's in a quotation. Example:
"[a]nother". Spellchecking usually shows this as wrong when, to a human, it's
obviously right. A spellchecker should be able to ignore brackets if at least
one is not spaced on either side from adjacent strings.

If a newer version of Writer has this, that's good enough. The version I'm
reporting on has still been getting updated even after reputedly being at EOL.

I guessed my hardware.
